3242 Asphalt Content Gauge

Troxler's Model 3242 Microlab Asphalt Content System provides a quick, accurate and safe method of measuring the asphalt content of your bituminous mixes in your lab.

Like the Model 3241-C, the Model 3242 uses a small nuclear source to measure the asphalt content of a sample. It also meets the requirements of ASTM Standard Test Method D-4125 for this measurement.

In most countries you can possess the Model 3242 without the expense of obtaining a Radioactive Materials License. In states governed by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the savings in licensing fees can pay for the Microlab after just a few months of lab operation. In states or countries with their own license requirements, your savings may be even higher.

Features & Benefits

The Model 3242 Microlab System eliminates many of the licensing requirements of the Model 3241-C, but it doesn't sacrifice any of the performance features. The Model 3242 gives you:
• Nuclear asphalt content measurement without the need for a Radioactive Materials License in most cases

• Asphalt content measurement without the hazard and expense of the toxic chemicals employed in the solvent extraction method

• Compatibility with the optional Universal Sample System, providing the added convenience of measuring either the commonly used 100mm (4 inch) or 150mm (6 inch)laboratory compacted samples
• The ability to download test data directly to a printer or computer, simplifying the reporting of results

• Calibration transfer from a centrally located gauge greatly reduces calibration time for field sites

• A twelve month warranty and forty years of Troxler experience give you the confidence you deserve
